This role will support the Award Manager in the planning, compliance support and securing both development and humanitarian awards. The position plays a lead role in proposal coordination, compliance support and coordinates information across departments.
This role will work collaboratively with SC members and other departments of the Country office programme to ensure smooth development of proposals and ensure that all funded awards are strongly in compliance with SC & donor requirements.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Proposal development coordination
- Facilitate discussions on Go/No Go decisions for identified funding opportunities.
- Facilitate proposal development workshops to confirm timelines and roles of different staff members for specific proposals.
- Set and track proposal development timelines, and ensure coordination amongst teams (Program Development and Quality (PDQ), Programme Operations, Finance, Human Resource, Security, Procurement and external stakeholders where relevant)
- Coordinate, collect and integrate inputs from different stakeholders into the proposal package.
- Provide skilled editorial assistance: edit and proofread drafts of proposals, including making editorial recommendations.
- Liaise with save the children’s member offices to ensure and agree on proposal development plans.
- Ensure all proposal and concept note submissions to donors are reviewed and approved by the Senior Leadership Team in country as appropriate before submission to the donor.
- Coordinate with relevant staff to ensure timely revisions of proposals in response SC members’ and donors’ feedback.
- Maintain proper records and filing of final submissions and approved proposals
- Ensure that Save the Children International (SCI) procedures are followed during the proposal development process.
Awards Management and Award Management System (AMS):
- Ensure that all opportunities, proposals, contracts with donors are processed and approved through SCI’s online award management system (AMS) and system is an accurate reflection of current award status at all times.
- Coordinate with relevant staff to ensure getting the needed inputs and complete opportunity and proposal risk assessment tools (JORT & ARA)
- Support kick off meetings led by the Awards Manager and the communication of compliance requirements across the CO
- Producing the AM Summary Report (intended to SMT) for the ended period.
- Disseminate information on new funding opportunities from bilateral, multi-lateral and other donors.
- Providing the necessary inputs of new proposals values on the cost allocation sheet on the basis of any new funding obtained;
- Ensure that all adequate attachments appear on AMS and are retained as part of the award audit trail.
- Monitor award data quality in AMS and liaise with relevant award managers to improve it.
- Provide monthly data quality reports and analysis to the Awards Management Lead.
Donor Compliance and Partnerships
- Ensure SCI Egypt’s internal funding and opportunity tracker is up-to-date and share information as required.
- Ensure records of key contacts, required formats and donor major compliance requirements are kept up-to-date at the county office level.
- Work with relevant program staff to ensure all implementing partners undergo legal vetting and a capacity assessment prior to commencing work with Save the Children, are engaged with appropriate agreements and effective monitoring systems are in place so that partner delivery meets donor expectations and requirements.
- Comply with all relevant SC policies and procedures with respect to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
- Support the Awards Management department on other tasks as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEIENCE
Essential
- Bachelor degree on business administration, public relation, Social sciences, or similar.
- 3 to 5 years’ substantial experience working with a humanitarian/ development NGO organisation.
- Good Knowledge of donor requirements – including USAID, EU, GAC, UNICEF, UNHCR -and experience of Proposal development coordination process.
- Demonstrable competence in proposal development, including experience of financial planning.
- Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a workload comprised of varying and changing tasks and responsibilities
- Strong negotiation, written and oral skills.
- Cultural awareness and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people
- Good attention to detail and analytical skills
